Wildcat Strike Called at the Post Office

Some members of Workers' Initiative union have called for work stoppage and the beginning of a hunger strike at the Post Office. Post Office workers are demanding that the Post Office fulfill their obligations under the agreement made after the Post Office Strike in 2006.

Workers have exposed that these obligations have not been fulfilled. Among the most important issues is that of pay discrimination with employee receiving different salaries for the same work. They are also demanding that time cards be introduced so that they can prove they are forced to work overtime, better organization of work so that overtime can be avoided and norms which would regulate the weight letter carriers must carry.
